IN HYDERABAD

The capital city of Andhra Pradesh is a bustling 400-year-old metropolis with an urban population of 4.2 million people approximately. Hyderabad is located on the Deccan Plateau and the Musi River, 650m above sea level. The physiography of Hyderabad is dominated by hills, tanks, forests, and rock formations.

The Hyderabad city is cosmopolitan, and is richly endowed with a variety of cultures. While Muslim people are concentrated more towards the old city like Charminar, Secunderabad has got a more contemporary look with a concentration of Anglo-Indians. The city of Hyderabad presents an attractive amalgam of old world charm together with the ebullience of growth and enterprise. Beautiful old edifices built in the medieval, Mughal, Colonial and Indo-Saracenic styles abound, rubbing shoulders with large glass and chrome temples of commerce.

Birla Temple - verlooking the Tank Bund, the Birla Mandir presents an arresting sight when lit in the evening. This magnificent structure built entirely out of marble from Rajasthan, stands atop the Kala Pahad, the twin hillock off the Naubat Pahad. Built by Birla Foundation over a span of 10 years, the main temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara.

Zoo Park - Situated in the Bahadurpura area Nehru Zoological Park is the biggest zoological park in India spread over 300 acres with a Lion Safari Park, Natural History Museum and a children's train.
Hussain sagar - Hazrat Hussain Shah Wali built The Bund in 1562 during the reign of Ibrahim Qutub Shah. Tank Bund once a water source for the Secunderabad Contonment is now a recreational facility and a picnic spot with facilities for water sports. The largest stone statue of Buddha in the world, weighing 350 tons and 17.5 meter tall, is located on a plinth in the middle of the lake.
Golconda fort - Golconda fort is a majestic monument lying on the western outskirts of Hyderabad city. The fortress is built on a granite hill 120 metres high, surrounded by massive crenellated ramparts. One of the most remarkable features of is its system of acoustics whereby the sounds of hands clapped at the entry gate can be heard quite clearly at the top of the hill.

Salarjung Museum - Along with a collection of art objects by Nawab Salar Jung III, this museum houses magnificent exhibits of European and Indian paintings and statuary. Of special interest is the Jade Room containing priceless objects, which belonged to ancient Indian rulers like Aurangazeb, Tipu Sultan, Shah Jahan and the Asaf Jahs of Hyderabad.

Charminar - It is the principal landmark of Hyderabad. In 1591, Mohamed Quli Qutub Shah built Charminar to commemorate the end of a devastating epidemic. Charminar, which means four towers, stands 56m high and 30m wide creating four arches facing each of cardinal points. The lower area of the Charminar is open daily 9am to 4.30pm. The structure is illuminated during the night from 7pm to 9pm.

Mecca Masjid - is one of the largest mosques in India accommodating upto 10,000 worshippers. This is the biggest mosque in Hyderabad and lies within hundred yards to the southwest of Charminar.

VISHAKHAPATNAM:

It is also the city which is second largest of the state having one of the key sea ports of the country. Exquisite beaches, waterfall, wildlife sanctuary and hilltop of this city make it a top hotspot for tourists. The picturesque location of Araku valley would be loved by the trekkers as it is also a great hill station and picnic spot.

TIRUPATI:

One of the famous religious and cultural pilgrimages of India thronged by millions of devotees is the temple dedicated to Lord Balaji in Tirupati, another Lord Vishnu figure. The magnificent artistry of the temple is truly mesmerizing.

VIJAYWADA:

The city of Vijaywada is rich in agriculture and is the center of various religious and cultural places, including temples, caves, rivers, monuments and so on. The Prakasam Barrage, Bhavani Island, Kolleru Lake and Kondapalli reserve forests are a few of the interesting tourist places.

NELLORE:

It is famed for its primeval temples that are amazing due to their historic culture and astonishing architecture connected to them.
